19th Century German silver-gilt lidded tankard, in the style of the early 17th century examples, beautifully chased and embossed with a very detailed and crowded boar and stag hunting scene, depicting Diana the huntress. The large and elaborate c-shaped handle mounted with a lion shield thumbpiece, the lobed lower body standing on four pierced ball shaped feet and lid surmounted with a realistically modelled figure of Diana and hound.

Hallmarked with German Hanau pseudo-marks used by B. Neresheimer & Sohne, Hanau.

ANTIQUE 19thC GERMAN SOLID SILVER-GILT & MOSER GLASS CUTLERY SERVICE c.1880

19th Century German silver-gilt & gilded glass cutlery service, comprising: 18 spoons, 18 forks and 18 knives, the spoons and forks each with reeded border and knifes in early style and mounted to glass with a pierced collars. Judging by the quality of the glass, the handles are probably made my Ludwig Moser (1833-1916), a world renowned glass manufacturers and retailers from Karlovy Vary (Karlsbad, Bohemia), famous for his fine gold and enamel work on glass. Appointed court supplier to Emperor Franz Joseph I, the Persian Shah Mozaffar al-Din Shah Qajar (1901) and King Edward VII of England (1908), at the hight of business Moser held retail premises in New York, London, Paris and St-Petersburg. The knifes are hallmarked with silver mark 13 (812 standard, used pre 1886 in Germany and Prussia), undoubtedly all pieces are part of the same set and have all been tested as silver. The three tear set comes in its original red leather bound retail box.

ANTIQUE 19thC RARE CHINESE EXPORT SOLID SILVER BATTLE SCENE MUG c.1870

19th Century Chinese export silver mug, of large size, baluster form, the body is embossed with beautifully battle scenes in relief depicting warriors fighting and people of nobility playing a game amongst hills and trees, the top rim chased with very detailed grapevine boarder, centering an engraved cartouche (JEAN), the handle is beautifully modelled like a dragon.

The cup is not hallmarked (acid tested shows a 900+ silver standard), probably made in Canton, year 1870-1880, attributed to Leeching.

19th Century Imperial Russian 14k gold snuff box, of cartouche form with bombe sides, the base carved out of amethyst, mounted with a gold lid, chased and engraved with foliate scrolls and set with a hand painted enamel plaque surrounded with a thick acanthus leave boarder, shaped thumbpiece.

Hallmarked with Russian 56 gold marks (585 standard), St. Petersburg, French guarantee marks (used 1838-present), Makers mark Indistinct, probably by Keibel.

18th Century French three-coloured 18k gold snuff box, of round form, on both sides engraved with a spiders web decoration on engine turned ground, within flowers and laurel leaves boarders.

Hallmarked with French guarantee marks (750 gold standard), the box dates to the 1790, Makers mark unknown.

19th Century Imperial Russian 18k gold snuff box, of rectangular form with rounded corners, beautifully engraved with engine turned decoration, lid applied with a cast floral thumbpiece.

Hallmarked with Russian 72 gold marks (750), French import marks (1838-present), inventory number 4894, Makers mark Keibel.
