ANTIQUE 19thC JAPANESE MAGNIFICENT SHIBAYAMA SOLID SILVER BOWL c.1890

19th Century Japanese Meiji period shibayama & silver bowl on stand. The silver mount engraved with various floral decoration complimenting the shibayama work and applied with elephant heads, bowl standing on six scrolled legs, the sides are set with six large gold lacquered shibayama panels and inlaid with finely carved pieces of vari-colours of mother of pearl, depicting various scenes of birds perching on a branch of blossoming trees. The piece bowl dates to the mid Meiji period (1890-1912), acid tested shows a 950+ silver standard, the base is signed Hideyoshi Koku, engraved by H.

18th Century extremely rare Chinese silver-gilt filigree & gem set, pear shaped vase. The delicate filigree vase decorated throughout in a typical Chinese manor and the four sides applies with Chinese shou characters, the neck and body is set with carnelian cabochons (a stone native to Russia and India). The bouquet of flowers also set with carnelians and applied with foliage and bats.

20th Century Burmese solid silver hand-crafted repousse' plate, the border  and middle repousse' decorated in relief with scenes from the Burmese mythology amongst scrolling foliage. The dish is not hallmarked, but has been acid tested and shows 900+ grade silver, the dish dates to the 1900's.

19th Century Chinese export silver mug, of large size, baluster form, the body is embossed with beautifully battle scenes in relief depicting warriors fighting and people of nobility playing a game amongst hills and trees, the top rim chased with very detailed grapevine boarder, centering an engraved cartouche (JEAN), the handle is beautifully modelled like a dragon.

The cup is not hallmarked (acid tested shows a 900+ silver standard), probably made in Canton, year 1870-1880, attributed to Leeching.

19th Century Chinese Export silver bowl, exceptionally fine quality, traditional form, fully chased and embossed with a dense scene of receptions before nobility, the top rim applied with a reeded band, standing on a plain ring foot. Hallmarked with Chinese marks, 90 (900+), Maker Zhao Xiang, Retailed by WH, Wang Hing & Company.
