19th Century Victorian pair of silver-gilt wine ewers. Amphora shaped, on a spreading foot chased with laurel leaf borders below fluted raised centre, the body with a large band figuring classical scenes of quadriga, four-horse chariots, with goddesses and nymphs, the neck chased with large acanthus leaves and the tops with hinged covers applied with Medusa masks.
Hallmarked English Silver (925), London, year 1878 (C), Retail mark JT (possibly mark of John Taylor). Probably made by Elkington & Co and overstruck with the JT retail mark.

19th Century Victorian silver set of twelve dinner plates, each of shaped-circular form with gadrooned borders. Each border is engraved with a family crest of Sir Glynne Earle Welby-Gregory 3rd Baronet. (1806-1875), who succeeded his father in 1852.
