ANTIQUE 19thC GEORGIAN MODEL OF A MAHOGANY STAIRWAY c 1840
A superbly detailed miniature stairway made in England around the middle of the 19th century. This particular model is a single staircase leading to a balustraded gallery. Miniature staircases were produced by architects and furniture makers as fanciful projects (often as apprentices or students), primarily in the 19th and 20th centuries.
