A rare four-piece “Amanta” modular seating system designed by Mario Bellini in 1966 and produced by C&B Italia (later B&B Italia), dating from the 1980s. Each module features a fibreglass shell raised on four round black rubber feet, giving the design its distinctive floating appearance. The seats are upholstered in the original beige fabric, a neutral and versatile tone that works effortlessly in both modern and period interiors.
Each chair is fitted with three separate cushions, including a removable foam base cushion secured by a black toggle to prevent movement, alongside generously padded back and upper cushions with signature button detailing. This set includes the original matching side table, an exceptionally rare addition that allows for flexible configurations, from a corner arrangement to a face-to-face layout with the table used centrally as a coffee table. A highly collectible and sculptural example of Italian modernist design.
