DESCRIPTION
Antique 19th Century rare Georgian solid silver two-handled tray, exceptionally heavy, of oval form, the applied cast rim with acanthus leaves and shells at intervals, each side terminating with heavily decorated acanthus handles. The tray is impressive and features the heaviest gauge I have ever found on a tray. The centre is engraved with an impressive coat of arms and family crest.
Hallmarked English Silver (925 standard), London, year 1824 (i), Maker's mark crowned I.B (Rundell, Rundell & Bridge, John Bridge).
