Antique 20th Century English solid silver desk bell crafted in the form of a tortoise. The tortoises' shell is part cast and hand-chased in fine detail. The bell mechanism beneath. Once wound up, the bell can be rung by pressing either the head or tail, and it remains in full working condition.

Hallmarked English silver (925 standard), Chester, year 1923 (x), Makers mark GY&Co (Grey & Co).
