ANTIQUE 19thC VICTORIAN SOLID SILVER ARMADA JUG, LONDON c.1891
Antique 19th Century Victorian solid silver "Armada" pattern jug, with scroll handle, the hinged lid has an ornate finial and opens squeezing the handle trigger, baluster body, domed circular foot, the body is profusely decorated in relief with embossed flowers, foliage and scrolls on a matted ground. On the front, a plaque with the engraving "Au Professeur Albert Le Sage Doyen Les Medicins Et Les Administrateurs De L'Hopital Notre Dame Le 29 Avril 1940".
Hallmarked English solid silver (925 standard), Sheffield, year 1891 (Y), Makers mark RMEH (Martin, Hall & Co (Richard Martin & Ebenezer Hall).
