ANTIQUE 19thC VICTORIAN SOLID SILVER FOUR PIECE TEA SET, LONDON c.1854
Antique 19th Century Victorian solid silver four piece tea and coffee service. The set comprises a teapot, coffee pot, sugar bowl and cream jug. Each piece is raised on cast scroll feet and decorated with bold repoussé work featuring lobed panels, shells and scrolling foliage. The teapot has a curved spout and scroll handle. The coffee pot is taller in form with a tapering neck and domed lid. Both lids are fitted with cast finials in the form of melons. The sugar bowl and cream jug follow the same lobed design, with cast handles matching the larger pieces. All interiors are richly gilt.
The set was retailed in Rome by Bvlgari Collezione and is accompanied by its original silk lined fitted box and paperwork.
