ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Patrick Mavros is a Zimbabwean sculptor and silversmith who founded his workshop in 1980, creating pieces primarily in sterling silver. His work ranges from jewellery to sculptural objects and home accessories, but what sets it apart is its strong focus on African wildlife and natural forms; elephants, birds, insects and other subjects are rendered with remarkable realism.
Using the traditional lost-wax casting method, each piece begins as a hand-carved model, allowing for fine detail and a distinctly sculptural quality. Unlike more formal British silver, his designs are organic and narrative driven, often capturing movement and texture.
