VINTAGE 20thC ENGLISH SOLID SILVER & MOTHER OF PEARL ASPREY & GARRARD CAVIAR SET
Vintage 20th Century English solid silver & mother of pearl caviar serving set by the renowned London jewellers and silversmiths Asprey & Garrard, comprising two beautifully fashioned mother of pearl serving utensils with finely detailed solid silver mounts. Each piece features a lustrous mother of pearl throughout, the handles are surmounted by intricately modelled silver finials depicting a pair of sturgeon fish, displaying attractive natural iridescence and subtle variations in colour. The combination of shimmering mother of pearl and finely worked silver creates a highly decorative appearance. Mother of pearl is traditionally favoured for serving caviar, as its non reactive nature preserves the delicate flavour of this luxury delicacy. An ideal addition to a fine dining collection or an elegant accessory for entertaining. Hallmarked English Silver (925 Standard), London, year 1999 (Z), Maker's Mark AG (Asprey & Garrard).
