Antique early-20th Century Exceptional Burmese, Myanmar solid silver Thabeik bowl, repousse' decorated in high relief depicting different traditional scenes from the Burmese mythology, showing very detailed figures set against a chiselled matted background in landscapes. Around the scenes and the top chased with scrolling foliage, the base decorated with pluming peacocks and pouncing mythological tigers.

The quality of the bowl is simply outstanding and very crisp, the figures and proportions are much smaller than usual, the quality of workmanship is possibly the best I have ever seen in Burmese silver, its comparable to the best silversmiths active at the time.
