ANTIQUE 20thC INDIAN BURMESE SOLID SILVER MASSIVE SCULPTURAL CUP & COVER c.1900
20th Century Burmese Colonial Silver cup & cover centrepiece vase, the octagonal panelled body chased and repoussed with various scenes from Burmese floklore, surrounded by scrolling foliage, resting on a domed foot featuring a similar decoration. The matching cover is surmounted by an impressive cast figural finial.
Acid tested shows a 900+ silver standard, it dates between 1880-1910.

Antique 20th Century Burmese Colonial Solid Silver cup & cover centrepiece vase, massive size (41.5 cm tall) and higly-decorative, the octagonal panelled body chased and repoussed with various scenes from Burmese floklore, surrounded by scrolling foliage, resting on a domed foot featuring a similar decoration. The matching cover is surmounted by an impressive cast figural finial.
The piece is exceptionally decorative and heavy, it weights over 2.2 kilos of high-grade silver (acid tested shows a 900+ silver standard). As always the case for Burmese silver the set appears to be unmarked, but features a particularly high-quality and it dates between 1880-1910.
CONDITION
In Great Condition - no damage, just general wear.
