ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Lee Ching (Leeching) was a prominent Chinese Export silver retailer active during the late 19th century, associated with the important trading centres of Canton and Hong Kong. The firm retailed finely crafted silverwares produced by skilled Chinese workshops, including pieces bearing the marks of respected makers such as Quan Ji. Lee Ching silver is particularly admired for its elaborate repoussé and chased decoration, often incorporating traditional Chinese figures, landscapes, flora and architectural motifs, and is today highly regarded by collectors of Chinese Export silver.
