Description
Exceptional mid 20th Century German Carl Zeiss RWDF 10x50 binocular periscope theodolite on adapted polished stand. This piece was designed for observational purposes with precision angled prismatic lenses. Every piece is fully adjustable, a swingable sun visor against scattered light on the top. Optically magnificent, clear lenses. It comes on a polished stainless telescopic tripod, particularly exceptional and stylish, extendable from 70 centimeters to 135. This is a stunning example from the very famous German optics manufacturer Carl Zeiss. For more information about the Zeiss industries during the Cold War please follow this link. This piece dates to around year 1960. Stamped model code "RWDF 10 x 50 12-133-3624" and serial number "CARL ZEISS 2133".
