VINTAGE 20thC GERMAN ANTI AIRCRAFT BINOCULARS BY JOSEPH SCHNEIDER c.1940
A pair of Second World War anti-aircraft binoculars, mounted on their original wooden and polished metal tripod. The marking “OdkIX” is the wartime manufacturer’s code for Schneider (Jos. Schneider & Co.) of Bad Kreuznach.
These binoculars were issued to German forces, including the Kriegsmarine and flak artillery units, for aircraft spotting and general field observation. Now polished to a bright finish, the set has been presented as an impressive decorative and stylish item, perfect for a modern apartment.
