£1,195.00

Antique 19th Century Victorian sporting wall rack by Swaine & Adne. The rectangular oak backboard, with moulded edge and a rich, well developed patina is mounted with a finely modelled fox head to the centre, flanked by a pair of polished brass horseshoes. Beneath are five brass hooks intended for the hanging of hunting whips, crops or related sporting equipment. Brass suspension fittings are positioned at either end of the plaque for wall mounting. The combination of warm oak, equestrian motifs and fox hunting detail gives the piece considerable decorative character and makes it an appealing example of late Victorian English sporting furniture. A particularly attractive piece for a boot room, tack room, country house interior.
