DESCRIPTION
Antique 19th Century exceptionally rare and impressive Spanish Solid Silver presentation desk inkstand, massive size, shaped oval base on openwork feet, centered by a cast figure of the goddess Galatea on a shell-shaped chariot pulled by two seahorses, flanked by two oval compartments fitted for a well and a bell, each cast cover modelled as a dolphin with a putto.
The base bearing memorial inscriptions, the frontal one "A ELIAS ROGENT y este a su hijo Jose, 1892", "Francisco Font y Rome", "Una Prueba de Gratitud", "Maria Ann Carreras De Font".
