Stunning 20th Century Italian Cast Solid Silver figural statue, mounted on an octagonal black marble base, depicting The Rape of the Sabine Women by Giambologna, located in Piazza della Signoria in Florence, dating to year 1574-82 (for more information please follow this link). This is a particularly large and impressive piece, extremely high workmanship and massive size, the statue is Hallmarked Italian silver (800 standard), Vicenza, year 1935-50, Maker's mark "11VT" (Nardin Arturo).
