Description
Stunning 20th Century Italian Cast Solid Silver figural statue, mounted on a black marble base, depcting Perseus holding the head of Medusa, after the famous bronze sculpture by Benvenuto Cellini, located in Piazza della Signoria in Florence, dating to year 1545 (for more information please follow this link). This is a particularly large and impressive piece, both the base and statue are Hallmarked Italian silver (800 standard), Vicenza, year 1935-50, Maker's mark "11VT" (Nardin Arturo).
