A rare and superb Montblanc Limited Edition 4810 "Patron of Art" Fountain Pen, celebrating the founder of Carolingian Renaissance Charlemagne. He created the basis for western culture and a European identity
The wound solid silver 925 standard wound barrel and cap are embellished with gold plated mountings reminescent of Carolingian features in the decoration of Aachen Cathedral, where Charlemagne was crowned.
The 18 Karat Gold nib is beautifully hand-engraved with early Medieval pattrns and the emperor's monogram.
The pen is in perfect condition, never used, it comes with the original outer box, laquered wood display box and booklet. The model dates to 2000.
It is a Limited Edition number 3418 / 4810.
CONDITION
Pen and box in Great Condition - Never used. Just minor wear as expected, being silver the pen has a slight patination that can be easily polished.
