DESCRIPTION
Antique early-20th Century French solid silver-gilt 'egotist' guilloche enamel tea service, comprising of a tray, teapot, a covered sugar bowl, covered milk jug, cup, saucers and tea spoon. Each silver part is gilt and enamelled with vibrant electric blue on an engine turned ground, mounted with carved geometric handles and decorated with French Empire inspired decorations on the spoon and handles. Hallmarked French silver (Minerva 950 standard), year 1838-present, Guarantee mark (boar), Maker's mark "JM" (Jules Marie, active 1889-1912, 5 rue Froissant, Paris), Retailed by Appay.
CONDITION
In Great Condition - no damage, just general wear.
