20thC ENGLISH ROSEWOOD SIDEBOARD BY GORDON RUSSELL c.1967
A very rare mid-20th Century sideboard, made in England around the 1960s by Gordon Russell. The rarity is in the detail, it shows British cabinetmaking at its finest. The sideboard is made out of two types of wood: Brazilian rosewood veneered exterior with a mahogany structure. The long sideboard features striking zebrano/zebra walnut front, cool scalloped wood border to the top, slick door handles and tapered legs. As can be seen from the stamp at the back, this delightful and long sideboard bears the stamp of Gordon Russell with a production date of August 1967.
