20thC RARE ENGLISH CONSOLE TABLE / SIDEBOARD BY ANTHONY REDMILE, LONDON c.1970
Anthony Redmile is a British Postwar and Contemporary sculptor who was born in 1945 and established himself on the London interior design scene in the 1960s, producing eclectic and distinctive pieces for his clients. This console table is typical of his work in the 1970’s drawing inspiration from nature and incorporating semi-precious stones.
Two silver coloured palm-like stands with malachite cabochons support an impressive 183cm long glass top which would look fantastic as a sideboard, as a console table, or even as a coffee table if so desired. A superb and eccentric item which is a wonderful addition to any room.
