Gaetano Pesce is one of the most influential and radical figures in postwar design, known for challenging the conventions of industrial production through the use of colour, imperfection and expressive materials. Trained as an architect and active across furniture, art and architecture, Pesce has consistently championed the idea that objects should reflect human individuality rather than uniformity. His work is represented in major museum collections worldwide, including MoMA and the Centre Pompidou, and remains central to contemporary design discourse.
The Triple Play series is a continuation of Pesce’s long-standing exploration of resin as both a structural and narrative material. Produced by Fish Design, the series embraces chance and variation, with each pour capturing a moment in time. The perforations, colour contrasts and visible construction elements reflect Pesce’s belief in transparency and honesty of process, resulting in pieces that sit at the intersection of functional furniture and collectible design art.
