Description
Antique 20th Century rare German Solid Silver singing bird box, of rectangular form, the sides are chased and applied with cherubs, the highly decorated top is centered by a cover depicting two naked cherubs, it opens revealing a bird with multi-coloured feathered plumage, moving and singing, rising from a grill. Going-barrel movement is in perfect condition, with original brass key. The base is Hallmarked German silver (STERLING, 925 standard), maker's mark not found, year 1920's.
