ANTIQUE 19thC GEORGIAN 18K SOLID GOLD OVAL VINAIGRETTE c.1800

Antique early 19th century Georgian 18K solid gold vinaigrette, oval in form, the lid and base adorned with floral and disc engineturned motifs within a swirl-decorated border. Opening the lid reveals a plain pierced grill, which lifts to show the original sponge. No hallmark present (acid tested), possibly provincial.
