Antique 19th Century Indian colonial silver christening mug, of rounded bellied form with wrythen fluting, decorated with chased floral work and a central cartouche. The scroll handle is entwined with a serpent, and the foot is finished with a chased band of alternating leaves and florets. Hallmarked to the rim of the base with the Maker's mark M&Co, Middleton & Co, Calcutta, thistle & tally mark.
