DESCRIPTION

Antique late-19th Century Japanese Meiji period very fine silver figure of a falcon, on silver & enamel mounted lacquered stand. The naturalistically modeled bird with enameled eyes, with realistic engraved feathers, perched on a black lacquered stand, beautifully hand painted with gold and applied with silver and delicately enameled mounts. Apparently unmarked, but tested to be 950+ high grade silver.
