ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Angelo Lelli was one of the most influential Italian lighting designers of the mid-20th century. A pioneer in combining sculptural form with technical innovation, Lelli played a central role in defining the aesthetic of post-war Italian lighting. His designs often drew inspiration from natural forms while embracing modern materials such as brass, copper, and hand-blown glass. Lelli’s work is now highly sought after and represented in major design collections, celebrated for its balance of elegance, functionality, and expressive form.
Founded in 1943 in Monza, Arredoluce became one of Italy’s most important lighting manufacturers during the post-war design boom. Under Lelli’s artistic direction, the company collaborated with leading designers and architects, producing lighting that pushed technical boundaries while maintaining exceptional craftsmanship. Arredoluce pieces are recognised for their refined materials, innovative construction, and timeless modernist appeal, making them enduring icons of Italian design history.
