19th Century Victorian silver novelty boot shaped cup, very decorative and ornate in design, chased with scrolling foliage, grotesque masks, realistically modelled strap and buckle, the top applied with twisted rope ending in a tassel and the heal applied with a revolving spur.
Hallmarked English silver (925), London, Foreign (F), year 1886 (L), Importer's mark TC for Thomas Glaser.

20thC Persian wall plaque or tray, of rectangular form with rounded corners, profusely repousse' decorated with various scenes depicting Persian nobility surrounded by scrolling foliage and stylized flowers, the border is also chased with people of leisure. The chasing is very fine, typical of the Isfahan region, the front bears an inscription in Farsi, the tray dates to the first half of the 20th century.
Hallmarked silver (900+ standard) and signed Vafadar.
