ANTIQUE 20thC FRENCH CARTIER JUDAICA SILVER-GILT, ENAMEL & AGATE CLOCK c.1920

20thC French Art Deco, Judaica timepiece, shaped as the star of David, supported by a hinged strut, the star panels set with translucent agate panels, the gilded silver mounts applied with vibrant blue guilloche enamel on engine turned ground. Hallmarked with a small French silver guarantee mark (boars head), clock face signed Cartier, Paris, Londres, the clock dates to the 1920's. This is a stunning example of the early Art Deco pieces made by Cartier and such pieces were undoubtedly made on commission and marked the high point of the first phase of Art Deco.

18th Century French magnificent three-coloured 18k gold snuff box / bonbonniere, of round form, engine turned decoration, the cover and base centered with vari-colour gold rosette, edges chased with flowers and husk garlands on a matted ground.

Hallmarked with French hallmarks, Paris, Makers marks for Melchior-Rene Barre, discharge marks of Jean Baptiste Fouache.

19th Century French 18K gold snuff box, of rectangular form, the lid and base chased with leafy borders on a sablé ground, framing the central panel of engine-turned wavy pattern, the slightly concave sides with chased scrollwork.

Hallmarked with French gold guarantee marks, Paris, Maker Louis-Francois Tronquoy.

19th Century French magnificent 18k gold snuff box, of traditional oval form, engine turned, sides chased with acanthus leaf boarders and engine turned sunburst ground. Hallmarked 18k (750 gold standard), Makers mark FO (unknown to me), guarantee marks.
