18th Century Imperial Russian silver-gilt and niello impressive lidded tankard, parcel gilt, of traditional tapering form on a spreading foot, the sides chased with gilt putto masks and trailing foliage and scrolls on textured silver ground, applied with an elaborate, cast thumb-piece and scroll handle, the hinged cover decorated with a niello plaque, the sides bearing three oval reserves depicting ancient warriors.
Hallmarked with Imperial Russian silver marks (875), Assay master B.A, Moscow, year 1766, Maker's mark in Cyrillic A.B C.

18th Century Imperial Russian silver tea kettle on stand, the bullet shaped body chased with rococo decoration and spiral bands, mounted with a turned wood swing handle and knop, the stand applied with cast floral apron, the burner within three scroll legs and shell feet.
Hallmarked with Imperial Russian silver marks (875 silver standard), Assay master E.A (unknown), Moscow, year 1761, Maker's mark in Cyrillic B.A (unknown silversmith, active 1760-1794, see Russian hallmarks, Postnikova -Loseva, page 204 and for a similar example see page 79), burner and stand bearing scratch test marks and later French import marks.
