19th Century Russian silver-gilt trompe l'oeil kvas jug, of heavy gauge, of traditional form, applied with a plain handle and elaborately decorated with Pan-Slavic motives, applied with niello enamel and partialy gilt.
Hallmarked Russian Silver 84 (875 standard), Assey Master B.C (Victor Savinsky, 1874), Moscow, Maker's mark in Cyrillic for Ovchinnikov .
