19th Century Imperial Russian silver caviar serving set, modelled as a barrel with fitted lid and elaborately designed handles, decoration is part gilt on matted silver ground, engraved with geometrical designs, simulating ice or snowflakes, inside richly parcel gilt and inset with a glass liner. The bowl fitted to an unusual slanted dish standing on four ball shaped feet.

Hallmarked Russian silver 84 (875), St-Petersburg, year 1888, Maker's mark in Cyrillic MI for Mikhail Yakovlevich Isakov.

The bowl fitted to an unusual slanted dish standing on four ball shaped feet. Each part is hallmarked Russian silver 84 (875 standard), St-Petersburg, year 1888, Maker's mark in Cyrillic MI (Mikhail Yakovlevich Isakov, active 1888-1899).
