DESCRIPTION
This is an original drawing from the program harking back to an era when moon landings and supersonic passenger flights were realised without the aid of supercomputers and digital technology was in its infancy. It can almost be felt by looking at these drawings how primitive the technology was and what a great achievement these projects were. This particular drawing was originally auctioned off in the 1990s in Sotheby’s and authenticated by Brian Trubshaw, CBE, who was a leading test pilot and the first British pilot to fly Concorde, in April 1969.
Today these drawings are not just decorative. They would embellish any room and capture people’s hearts and interest with one look. A wonderful way to embellish any home, board room or office space for anyone with a genuine interest in aeronautics, engineering or quite simply to own a token piece of our social history.
